Well it took a long time but Telluride finally got a big storm. The skiing has been amazing over the last few days with close to 2 feet of fluffy pow. Hopefully we are now in a good storm pattern and will keep on getting the goods.
Wow, what a great year. 2011 flew by and as I look forward to new opportunities and adventures in the coming year it’s always helpful to take a minute to look back over the last year. These are my favorites from the past year, probably more for sentimental value than actual image quality but anyways here they are…

A long exposure from the other night looking towards town and Mountain Village. The stars were particularly bright with a very small crescent moon to the west. Things are looking a little brown around the area now with the lack of recent snow but hopefully that will change this weekend!

A stunning sunset last night looking towards the town of Telluride.

A partially frozen over Trout lake at sunset last night. I was searching for some interesting patterns in the ice but all the good stuff was out a ways on the lake. I might go back and try this again in a week when there is more ice.
So I have been having some technical issues with my blog and have not been able to make a post for a while. I’m hoping I have it figured out now. It’s been a busy month and long fall for me with a variety of trips and projects. The images below are from a trip back home to Vermont where the fall colors were on full display. I have been splitting my time between Telluride and the desert recently and look forward to skiing soon with the recent snow storms that have hit Telluride. I just can’t seem to get flyfishing out of my system these days but it might be time to hang up the rod for the season on bust out the skis. I hope my technical issues with the blog are in the past and I will try to make more consistent posts!
