Striper ceviche
One of my favorite aspects of a sea kayaking trip is the fly fishing and ultimately the fish it provides for dinner. Although the fishing was slow on our Lake Powell trip I was fortunate to get a nice Striper on my 6 weight fly rod that made for an amazing ceviche lunch. Striped Bass is one of my favorites to fish for as well as eat. They are an ocean fish that mostly inhabits the east coast of the US but were introduced into Lake Powell some time ago and took to it very well. They are very aggressive and are a blast on the fly rod. Making ceviche on the beach with freshly caught fish is something I learned in Mexico with Snook but seems to be perfectly suited for Stripers in Lake Powell, yummm! I have updated my galleries at my homepage to include the latest Lake Powell images
