The weather forecasts have been off all year for Telluride and this last one finally benefited us. They were calling for up to 5 inches of snow and we got 22 inches! What a day on the mountain yesterday, my legs are completely beat. The photo above is Ignacio launching a rock into some deep untracked snow in a little known spot on the Telluride Ski Resort.
I’m very excited to have an image in the new Patagonia Fly-Fishing catalog. Not only do I love there product, I have greatly admired the photography that graces there pages for many years.
Got out for a tour yesterday and found some decent powder. Mike got better turns then I did with his super fat skis that floated on the snow as my skis dug into the crust layer down below. I must get some fatties for next year!
I think these two actually managed to have more fun in White Dunes than I did.
I’m back on the road in New Mexico. I spent a few days in White Sands National Monument down in southern NM hiking around and camping. This was my first time in the area and had lots of fun in the sunny warm weather. The image above was taken a few days ago right before the sun set behind the San Andres mountains.
Izzy’s first backpacking experience went very well. She is constant entertainment while trying to jump from rock to rock all day long.
Just returned from a little backpacking trip to the Bisti Badlands in New Mexico. Perfectly sunny and warm weather was exactly what I was looking for. I have visited this area a few times and it’s quickly becoming a favorite of mine.
I am very proud to be working with the organization Art for Conservation in offering prints of mine while donation 5% of the profits to a conservation cause. I have picked the Prince William Soundkeeper as my organization to donate to because of my history with them and the area.
