I have been slacking a bit on my blog posts but have been spending a lot of time out shooting lately. I’m going to really try hard to post every day that I have access to a computer from now on… Anyway, the shot above is a hiker on a ridge looking into Bridal Veil basin the other night at sunset. We have been having some killer light at sunset lately and hopefully it will keep up and I will continue to explore new angles with great light.
I just returned from a great fly fishing trip to Southern Wyoming. The fishing was out of this world and we had areas like the above photo all to ourselves. I think this area rivals Montana for the best trout fishing in the continental US. I can’t wait to get back up there…
The recent heavy rains have our waterfalls going again in the high country. I found this one on a hike near Marshal basin.
This is another shot from my adventure up imogene the other evening. It’s a fresh perspective of town that I had not shot before.
I ventured up Imogene pass yesterday evening to explore some high basins that I have not been to for a while. It was a pretty damp evening but I was treated to some nice light right at sunset when I was coming down. The photo above is looking out at Bridal Veil falls (middle right) just after the sun left the peaks.
Last night was possibly the best sunset I have seen in Telluride, unfortunately I missed it and just managed a quick photo from out my apartment window looking at the glowing mountains above Town. I plan on getting out this evening to shoot some photos but I don’t think I can get this light again.
Well my backpacking trip did not happen due to stormy weather all around the San Juan’s. We did happen to make it up to one of my favorite spots for a quick overnight camping trip. The sun peaked out at the very end of the day, creating some dramatic light and a great hatch for the rising trout.
Flowers are just about peak but the weather has turned and I’m not sure my backpacking trip is going to happen today…
The photo above is from a long hike into the high mountains above town yesterday. I was scouting wildflowers up there for a backpacking trip later this week.
I went for a hike yesterday evening in search of some wildflowers to shoot when I found this waterfall I had never seen before. I got stuck shooting photos of it and missed out on my wildflowers but it was fun anyways.
