A bluebird powder day in Telluride! Today was a great day on the resort with a fresh dump and sunny skies, hard to beat. The photo above is a hiker on the ridge to ski Palmayra peak on the Telluride Ski Resort.

Telluride Ski Resort Powder Day

Wow what a great day! We were forecasted for only 1-3 inches and ended up with about foot of snow. The skiing today was exceptional.

Telluride Powder Skiing

Well it took a long time but Telluride finally got a big storm. The skiing has been amazing over the last few days with close to 2 feet of fluffy pow. Hopefully we are now in a good storm pattern and will keep on getting the goods.

Best 10 from 2011

Wow, what a great year. 2011 flew by and as I look forward to new opportunities and adventures in the coming year it's always helpful to take a minute to look back over the last year. These are my favorites from the past year, probably more for sentimental value than ...

Star trails over Telluride and Mountain Village

A long exposure from the other night looking towards town and Mountain Village. The stars were particularly bright with a very small crescent moon to the west. Things are looking a little brown around the area now with the lack of recent snow but hopefully that will change this weekend!

Trout Lake

A partially frozen over Trout lake at sunset last night. I was searching for some interesting patterns in the ice but all the good stuff was out a ways on the lake. I might go back and try this again in a week when there is more ice.
