Palmayra Peak
A bluebird powder day in Telluride! Today was a great day on the resort with a fresh dump and sunny skies, hard to beat. The photo above is a hiker on the ridge to ski Palmayra peak on the Telluride Ski Resort.

Telluride Ski Resort Powder Day
Wow what a great day! We were forecasted for only 1-3 inches and ended up with about foot of snow. The skiing today was exceptional.

Trout Lake
A partially frozen over Trout lake at sunset last night. I was searching for some interesting patterns in the ice but all the good stuff was out a ways on the lake. I might go back and try this again in a week when there is more ice.

Winters End
Winter is over. Today was the last day the ski resort was open, marking the end of winter for Telluride locals. We definitely went out with a bang with the hardest snowfall we have received all year. It really dumped today then right as the sun was setting the horizon cleared and we were treated to an amazing sunset. The above image was taken just outside my apartment door on the San Miguel river looking down valley. Tomorrow morning I’m heading out for a 2 month road trip so the posts might be sporadic but will hopefully yield some good photos.

Skiing Waterfall Chute
Made it out for a great ski yesterday as we keep getting little storms every 2-3 days. The photo above is Mike Munno skiing waterfall chute in Bear Creek. To get this shot I had to hike out on top of the cliff and then hold onto a branch with my left hand as I hang out over the cliff and shoot Mike skiing down the chute, very fun. We have less then a week of the Telluride Ski Resort being open and it looks like the good skiing should hold through.

Sheep mountain sunrise
I spent the night camping behind Trout lake two nights ago to take some early morning shots and was able to get a few good images before a storm rolled in.
